How
do I get my typesetting or layout to you?
If your layout does not fit our standard format and is camera-ready
(in good clean shape and sharp), you may want to send it to us via
US Mail. If your type is simple (no artwork and common font), you
can fax it to us and usually we can do the typesetting. If you have
your typesetting stored in a document file, you can send it by attaching
it to Email. All typesetting performed by Jet Press will
be faxed or mailed to you for your approval and signature to be
faxed back.
How
do I get my artwork to you?
Most layouts and artwork can be sent via US Mail. If you have your
artwork saved in a file, you can send it by attaching it to an Email
(please remember to reference your order confirmation number).
How
do I know what type of paper I have?
Most proprietary grades of paper (Classic® Laid, Classic®
Linen, etc.) will have a watermark. Hold your envelope open and
hold it up to the light. The watermark should be readable. If you
already have envelopes and letterheads, the best way to assure a
match is to send us a sample via US Mail or to look at the box or
the invoice that accompanied them.
How
do I find out what kind of paper I want?
We can send you a sample packet which covers our stocks. If
you have an idea of which paper you prefer, we can narrow the colors
down pretty quick.

you personally.
What
is standard window location and size for envelopes?
A standard window is 1-1/8" tall and 4-1/2" wide.
Standard window placement is 7/8" from left side of envelope
and 1/2" from bottom. If you window is in any other position
or is another size, then you need a special window. The only exception
is for a #8- 5/8 envelope (please call us if this is the case).
Most programs such as QuickBooks® use a standard window.

After
I place an order, can I change or cancel it?
You may cancel or change an order up until the time that printing
begins. If preparation has begun or been done (such as typesetting,
artwork, stripping, or negatives), you may incur a small fee. Call
immediately when you notice that changes need to be made or if you
need to cancel an order.
Is
your ink laser-safe?
Yes, our ink is laser-safe. This simply means that the ink used
is designed to withstand the heat that may be put out by a laser
printer or copier.
Do
you charge extra for colored ink?
There is no extra charge for colored ink.
Do
you charge extra for screens?
A screen is of lighter density than regular print. There is
no extra charge for printing screens in most cases, although you
may incur some extra charge in artwork preparation. Shades of screens
vary in density, (example a 10% screen will be very light whereas
an 80% screen will be almost as dark as regular print.)
My
order is prepaid, but what if I am not satisfied when I receive
it?
We try to take extra steps to ensure that you receive high quality
printing exactly as you ordered. All ~ order typesetting and layout
will be faxed or mailed to you for your approval. You must sign
the approval form and fax or mail it back to us. If you send us
some artwork or an image that we do not believe will come out sharp,
we will contact you and let you know. If we commit an error and
you report the error to us within 10 days of your receipt of the
order, we will reprint the order for free. If the goods are damaged
during shipment, we will help you file a claim with the shipping
company. Please do not return any items to us without first contacting
us for prior authorization.
